“Ach Sheli Balev” was a commemorative project by Our Brothers NGO and the Ministry of Education, giving voice to bereaved siblings.
At its heart were short films created by high school film students, inspired by personal meetings with the siblings.
The visual language that accompanied the event shaped gentle spaces of remembrance and hope - celebrating the lives of those who remain, and the enduring love they carry.
Concept
The heart symbol was the core of the design, a symbol of connection and continuity.
It invites breathing within grief, balancing pain and light through hand-drawn lines and a soft palette rooted in the siblings’ stories and the students’ films.
Applications
The visual language came to life through hanging fabric banners, triangular posters, the event booklet, and the photo wall - carrying the same breath of memory and hope.
Closing Thoughts
For me, this project was deeply moving. Designing a language that bridges grief and creation, memory and life. Each story carried a quiet strength and a love that endures.
