Year

2019–2026

Lekol Haruhot was produced within an academic course where literature students experienced the complete publishing workflow – from open calls and editing to layout and distribution.

I created a cohesive visual identity that emphasized the centrality of the literary texts while integrating the accompanying artworks. I developed the identity for the printed issues and later expanded it into a responsive digital platform.

Concept

The design placed the written word and passion for literature at the heart of the project. Inspired by the traditions of printed journals, the identity was carried into digital formats, ensuring typography elevated the reading experience.

Applications

The identity was applied to printed issues and later expanded into a responsive website. Lekol Haruhot continues to thrive each year as a course with a new group of students, whom I have the joy of guiding as the designer in every cycle.

Closing Thoughts

Coming from an art background, I found it exciting and rewarding to integrate artworks into a design project and see how they could converse with literary texts. For me, it is also deeply enriching to accompany an academic course, meeting a new group of students each year and sharing in the renewed excitement of creating a living literary journal.
